Our Story
We were 16 and 18 years old—Sonia lived in Buenos Aires, and Stefan in the countryside of Germany. Not yet connected, yet at home on two continents. But we both already knew that we danced to our own rhythm.
Wir wollten die frische Luft in unseren Gesichtern spüren, unbekannte Länder und Kulturen entdecken. Genauso wollten wir an unsere Echtheit und Einzigartigkeit glauben, uns ausprobieren und so unsere eigene Welt entdecken und gestalten. Zu dieser Zeit besuchte Sonia zum ersten Mal einen Yoga-Kurs und probierte Meditation und Atemübungen aus. Währenddessen begann auch Stefan mit Qi Gong und Yoga. Eine in Argentinien und einer in Deutschland. Doch beide verstanden, dass die Welt keine Grenzen hat, aber dafür einen gigantischen Horizont mit unzähligen Möglichkeiten. Somit begann es: unser großer Traum.

In January 2020 we created Purajana as a yoga-inspired and creative place for urban people of all ages who want to discover and keep their fresh and sparkly young spirit.
Since January 2023 we have a new studio - yay! – and we have even bigger plans. Our goal is to create a holistic wellbeing oasis that nourishes you from the inside and out. We combine ancient wisdom with modern science & technology to help you to recharge & find balance.
About Purajana
In Sanskrit, Purajana means "house of renewal" or "place of change". This name expresses what we offer you here at Purajana: a space in which body and mind can grow through the combination of traditional movement and modern applications such as the cold chamber and the Icaros training.
Here, you can fully arrive, realign, and discover a lasting, deep connection within. Purajana is the place where you experience a balance through mindful practice that strengthens your inner self and enables you to make long-term changes.
Our Studio
Unser Studio ist ein moderner und gemütlicher Ort für alle, die Spaß, Freude und Entspannung erleben möchten. Purajana ist viel mehr als ein Raum. Nur wenige Minuten von Frankfurt Innenstadt entfernt und befüllt mit viel natürlichem Licht und schönen Pflanzen, ist unser Studio eine Wohlfühloase direkt am Weißen Stein in Frankfurt-Eschersheim. Genieße einen leckeren aromatischen Tee oder einfach frisches Wasser vor deiner Klasse und triff Leute, die wie du eine erfrischende und einzigartige Erfahrung suchen. Purajana ist unser Zuhause, daher wollen wir, dass es sich so auch für dich anfühlt.

Sonia is a certified Vinyasa, Hatha & Aerial Yoga teacher for adults, teenagers and children. She enjoyed her training in JaiPure Yoga Studio in New Jersey and Karma Kids Yoga in New York USA. She has also completed training in Flyoga in Heidelberg Germany and in Yogashala Rishikul in Rishikesh India. All of her trainings are recognized by Yoga Alliance International (more than RTY 600).
Sonias Yoga Klassen sind dynamisch und leidenschaftlich. Mit ihrer intuitiven und einfühlsamen Art begeistert sie ihre Schüler, eigene Wege zum Yoga zu finden. Ausserdem fördert sie die Authentizität und Einzigartigkeit jedes Einzelnen. Als zertifizierter und langjähriger Yoga Lehrer vertieft sie ihre Praxis und ihr Studium immer weiter, um als Person und Lehrer weiter zu wachsen. Damit unterstützt sie Ihre Schüler auf dem Weg der Selbstfindung. Um ihre Liebe zur achtsamen Bewegung umfassender zum Ausdruck zu bringen absolvierte Sonia ihre Ausbildung als Reformer Pilates (Level 1-2) Trainerin bei STOTT PILATES® (Toronto, Canada).

After many years in the U.S., where he worked for an international company, Stefan found in Pilates not only a method to enhance his physical well-being, but also a way to combine his love for movement with his passion for sports like football and tennis. Pilates became the foundation for him to move longer, healthier, and with more joy.
His training took him around the world, with stops in the U.S., Costa Rica, Italy, and Germany. As a certified Comprehensive Pilates Instructor on Mat and all Apparatus with Balanced Body® USA, Stefan now brings a deep understanding of body mechanics and movement principles into his teaching. At Purajana, he offers Semi-Private Reformer Pilates as well as private sessions (All Apparatus) in German, English, Italian, and Spanish.
His classes are not just workouts, but experiences that elevate both body and mind. Stefan’s teaching is enriched by his diverse life experiences, his profound understanding of the human body, and a passion that goes far beyond the mat. He looks forward to guiding you on your journey to greater balance, strength, and flexibility—with an open mind and in a language that feels familiar to you.

In order to delve even deeper into yoga teaching, Jessica completed her 200-hour training in Ubud, Bali in spring 2023. Her Vinyasa flows are creative, elegant and dynamic, inviting you to consciously feel, strengthen and stabilize your body and emotions. It is important to her to create a beautiful atmosphere during yoga classes with the aim of ensuring that the yogis enjoy a soothing break and ultimately master everyday life with more mindfulness.

Her style, "Inside Yoga", is sporty and powerful. Laura brings together traditional yoga elements with modern approaches, placing a particular focus on functional movements. This makes the practice accessible and meaningful for everyone. It is important to her that everyone feels comfortable - whether beginner or advanced.
In her courses, Laura invites you to discover your own strength and dynamism. Through powerful sequences and demanding asanas you will be challenged and inspired to grow beyond yourself. Laura mainly teaches our Hot Yoga Vinyasa Flow and looks forward to welcoming you to her classes and exploring the diverse world of yoga together with you.

As a trained and certified yoga teacher (500h teacher training), Naida teaches Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Flow, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga as well as pre- and postnatal yoga. Her style is demanding, dynamic and creative, and in her lessons she always attaches great importance to adapting the practice individually to the needs and anatomy of her participants. In this way, she manages to create a challenging but also harmonious lesson for her students.

Since 2021, she has been dedicating herself more intensively to Pilates, especially on the equipment, and has found it to be the ideal balance to office life. This experience motivated her to gain a deeper understanding of the sport, leading her to start her teacher training in 2023.
Her Pilates style is based on the BASI routine, which means her workouts are designed to target all major muscle groups in a single session. She places great emphasis on precise movement execution for a safe and effective workout.

In 2020 Eva completed her first 200 hour RYT Yoga Teacher Training in Multistyle and Vinyasa Yoga at Vida Asana in Costa Rica and her second 200 hour RYT Teacher Training in 2021 at Sacred Path in Mexico. She is also a Level II Certified Reiki Master and has participated in various courses and workshops related to Yoga and personal development such as Psychology and Kirtan Harmonium.

She was especially convinced by the STOTT PILATES. Their contemporary approach to the original Pilates method, based on modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation, gave her tremendous insights into what the body needs in modern society. She prefers to teach Vinyasa Flow in combination with functional elements. By focusing on flow, the mind and thought process gets a well-deserved break, while the functional elements help build and maintain strength and mobility.
Camilla completed her training with Timo Wahl. Over the course of several years, she has now reached 500 hours of training. She represents our Vinyasa Flow Level 1 and 2 classes at Purajana and is really looking forward to meeting all Purajana yogis!
