What is Hot Yoga?

Hot Yoga is an intensive variation of traditional Yoga practice practiced in a room heated to around 35-40 degrees Celsius. The heated environment encourages deeper stretches, increased blood flow, and more intense cardiovascular exercise.

The combination of heat and Yoga offers a unique way to promote flexibility and balance while eliminating toxins and deepening focus. In this welcoming environment, you can challenge and relax while strengthening your body and mind.

Why Infrared Heat?

We use far-infrared to directly heat our yoga space, creating a deeply penetrating heat that works on your body while keeping the space cool.

This type of heat is similar to the heat of the summer sun but without the harmful UV rays. Our infrared heat yoga is comfortable, invigorating and doesn't leave you feeling stuffy or dehydrated.

Difference between Hot Yoga with infrared and Bikram Yoga

Infrared heat Hot Yoga and Bikram Yoga are both practices designed for intense heat, but they differ in a few aspects. While Bikram yoga practices a fixed sequence of 26 traditional asanas in a room heated to 40 degrees Celsius, hot yoga with infrared uses more flexible sequences that can vary from teacher to teacher.

In addition, Hot Yoga with Infrared uses the soothing infrared heat, which penetrates deeper into the body and enables gentle, effective warming of the muscles. This is in contrast to conventional hot air in Bikram studios.

FAQ

Far infrared heating is 100% safe and natural for our body and well-being as the human body is designed to absorb and emit infrared. The feeling of warmth from infrared is particularly pleasant. The water in our skin responds well to this particular wavelength of heat, which is why it is also referred to as the "Vital Range" of heat. Far infrared rays are the same heat you would feel on a sandy beach or sun-warmed rocks. In contrast to sunlight, however, infrared heat does not contain harmful UV rays. Would you like to know more about our far infrared lamps? Then you can go to the website of our manufacturer Herschel.

People with untreated cardiovascular diseases or problems (e.g. high or low blood pressure), people taking medications that may affect blood pressure, or pregnant women should not practice Infrared heat Hot Yoga.
